the carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
the enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.involves the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of all activities and support required for the buying and delivery of products and services, from material acquisition through delivery.
primary areas include procurement and contracting, supply management, inventory management, logistics operations, supplier diversity, transportation and distribution.key responsibilitiesrepresents global supply management (gsm) within the plant/business which would involve engaging corporate functions, shared services as well as corporate gsm functions as necessary to assure global buying policy enforcement; global customs compliance adherence.
