In this position, the new model program engineer plays a critical role in the successful launch of new vehicle and powertrain models within north america manufacturing plants. This position is responsible for the overall program management and delivery of new vehicle programs, ensuring successful execution across various phases including issue resolution, quality and status assessments, vehicle fleet management, and adherence to established budgets and timing.responsibilitiesdeliver new model vehicle launches in the assigned plant on time, on cost and at the target quality levels. Assure that daily deployment of the on-site launch meeting cadence, all launch processes and standards are followed, and management review documents are developed.support the delivery of launch at or below budget.support the delivery of launch to the prescribed build event timing delivering builds on time, at cost and with quality.manage the launch teams transition to the plant.ensure facilities (desks, phones, copiers, conference rooms, diagnostic support) are in place to support the onsite launch team.monitor the automated information system process for resolution of all issues that impact the launch, issues pendent without resolution and aging metrics. Drive closure of issues as required.support the nmp stake in the change control process ensuring that changes that are required are approved and timed correctly for implementation.manage pre-production build events.implement the open to go process including the part pedigree process and final approval of all alerts required for parts not ppap for the build events.coordinate the on site modification process matrix of modifications, work with the plant and suppliers to track part updates and monitor the plant draw down plan.support the plant whiteboard process and ensure timely issue resolution.manage the worldwide engineering release system (wers).support the development of risk mitigation actions and prove out plans to support quality launch.ensure the meeting cadence for launch on site is operating.coordinate all ongoing launch team activities including part sign-off activities and shortage meetings in conjunction with the plant.implement and prepare the nmp weekly assessment report(s) including data entry, updating key metrics of the program health.qualificationsrequirements:proficient english (must send employee profile in english to apply).experience coordinating the activities of multiple plants/organizations and aligning an undergraduate degree in engineering.
