position overview

the hunter douglas global management trainee program is hand-selected and sponsored by the executive leadership team. This 10‑month comprehensive leadership development program provides tools and experiences to develop you into a future leader of our organization while offering a holistic view of the business.

throughout this program, you will immediately immerse yourself into the company, the culture, and the industry. You will join a class of other trainees and gain a community of ambitious peers. You will learn from hunter douglas leaders and contribute directly to our purpose and our dream. You will travel to our north america locations to see exactly how our innovative products are made and sold. You will gain insights from day one and do real work on different projects while delivering actual results. Before the program commences, trainees are paired with a mentor to help acclimate and integrate you into our organization. Throughout the program, you can expect opportunities to connect and collaborate with our executive leadership team, global leaders, business leaders, previous trainees and current trainees from other zones. This role is considered hybrid. Full mobility is required.


what you’ll do

* two‑week induction at our global hq that provides an introduction to our global company strategy, culture, products, sales channels, and problem‑solving concepts.
* a four‑to‑five‑month field training in which you rotate through key areas of our value chain, including sales, supply, logistics, product innovation, and customer growth.
* hands‑on experience by actively participating in daily operations and project work during each rotation.
* one‑to‑two weeks of leadership and methodology training to foster a unified systems‑thinking approach and prepare you for your first project.
* one week graduation with feedback, development opportunities, and preparation for their first position allocation.
* first‑position placement can be in engineering and operations.


examples of projects

* create a new implementation process for when hunter douglas introduces a new product.
* implement recommendations to optimize material usage and mitigate scrap rates at our plants.
* pricing analysis for our e‑commerce platforms.
* develop a communication strategy to enhance our customer installation journey.
* monetize our market funnel valuation by quantifying our conversion rates.


qualifications

* anticipated graduation date no later than june with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
* demonstrated leadership capabilities through extracurricular activities, internships, student clubs, and volunteer work.
* mobility and willingness to be on‑site at one of our major north american locations throughout the program.
* readiness to tackle new challenges in diverse environments, including front‑line roles in the field, manufacturing plants, and regional offices.

british american tobacco has an exciting opportunity for a human resources trainee program – global graduate in monterrey. It is a hands‑on job from day one with world‑class training, international scope and the chance to reach your potential. You will progress from graduate to junior manager within 18 months, with the opportunity to become an outstanding leader in a world‑class organization.


key responsibilities

* support the hr business partner (hrbp) function, acting as the main hr point of contact for the trade marketing team.
* manage core hr processes such as recruitment, payroll, labor relations, and performance management.

qualifications

* experience in the fmcg industry is desirable.
* open to national and international mobility.
* intercultural competencies from international experience or personal background are desirable.
* a valid driver’s license is required.

the global early talent program – finance global trainee reports to business controller and focuses on contributing to the company's strategic objectives.


responsibilities

* support and collaborate with the business across operations, providing critical support to operations and strategic controlling areas of finance.
* implement performance profitability by product line.
* lead a cost optimization project in a large factory.
* implement the fabrication costing process.
* implement project controlling procedures in a large manufacturing unit.
* create and automate routine and ad‑hoc financial reports for senior management.
* implement dashboards and verify profitability by product line and location.
* manage database, analyse product cost structures, manufacturing parts, and revise project margins.
* coordinate information with stakeholders and prepare management reports.
* participate in required formal training programs (e.g., leadership challenge program, specific functional training) to develop personal, functional, and leadership skills.


qualifications

* recent graduate with no more than 2 years of experience.
* bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or related fields (master of finance is a plus).
* prior initial work experience in finance is considered.
* professional fluency in english; other languages are a plus.
* excellent written and oral communication skills.
* team spirit and global mindset with persistence, curiosity, and openness to new ideas.
* attention to detail and accuracy.
* advanced excel skills; experience with macro development and power pivot.
* management of large databases.
* desirable knowledge in power bi and programming languages.
