your tasks
1. objective: lead development and setup of complex automation solutions and advise production planning departments on automatic production equipment.
2. automation technology: define requirements, assess feasibility (technological, functional, financial), and select optimal solutions in collaboration with internal teams and customers.
3. provide internal and external services considering economic, quality, and deadline aspects in coordination with internal customers.
4. ensure compliance with international machinery and plant engineering standards (e.g., safety levels, norms, ce, osha).
5. assist in preparing specifications, calculations, and quotations for production lines and equipment; participate in design reviews to mitigate mechanical risks.
6. collaborate with equipment suppliers during design and construction phases; support supplier assessment and development.
7. manage ordering of components, considering procurement regulations and deadlines; oversee timely delivery.
8. implement and ramp-up new or modified production and test equipment; coordinate approvals and improvements.
9. drive continuous improvement actions related to equipment and technology; introduce new technologies with partners and experts.
10. advise and support other departments with assembly, testing, and repair issues (tpm).
11. provide technology training and transfer knowledge to technicians.
12. conduct process characterization and optimization to meet customer requirements.
13. perform maintenance tasks on production equipment, control units, and measurement systems.
14. develop and implement control, test, and measurement systems for new or existing equipment.
15. supervise suppliers to ensure adherence to electrical/plc programming standards.
16. deliver first-level programming training to maintenance staff.
17. design layouts and concepts considering technical and manufacturing aspects.
18. design fixtures, manufacturing, and test equipment incorporating all necessary methods and optimize for new product variants.
your qualifications
* bachelor's degree preferred in mechanical, electronic, or mechatronic engineering.
* 2-3 years of experience in similar roles within the automotive industry.
* proficient in english.
* intermediate to advanced skills in siemens plc, mitsubishi robots, tia portal (grafcet), and hmis programming.
* electromechanical experience in assembly processes.
* experience with startup of new stations, line improvements, technical knowledge sharing, and failure analysis.
