this role involves utilizing your medical expertise to ensure accurate and efficient verification of insurance information, contributing to seamless patient care and billing processes.- *100% remote position*:- *pay is based on experience and education.
*key responsibilities*:- gather and confirm co-pay amounts for patient visits.- check and validate icd-10 codes to ensure accurate billing and compliance.- obtain prior authorizations for procedures, tests, and referrals as required.- collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve discrepancies.- interpret medical records and documentation to support insurance verification.- ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.- maintain accurate records of all insurance verifications and approvals.- provide support to medical staff with insurance-related inquiries and issues.- stay up-to-date with changes in insurance policies and coding requirements.
*requirements*:- proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of insurance processes.- *excellent english* communication skills- strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.- ability to work independently in a remote setting.- *must have at least 1-2 years of experience in insurance verification in the us.
