Controller assists the chief financial officer mx operations in overseeing financial activities to the assigned site including preparation of current financial reports, training of such, financial analysis, consolidation, budget and long-term planning, as well forecasting.
the site controller has financial responsibility for the reporting unit and the supervision of the local finance team.
*qualifications*
*education*:
- bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance required.
- specialization in finance preferred
- master's degree preferred
*experience*:
- 10+ years of experience in financial management in an international operational environment
*computer skills*:
- proficient knowledge microsoft office (word, excel, powerpoint)
- knowledge of the ifrs standards
- familiar with erp system (m3, bpc)
*summary of duties*
- be a strong business partner to management by conducting all necessary analyses at your level and leading economically-oriented meetings
- leads local team in terms of guidance, training, people development and governance
- ensures proper implementation of internal controls & compliance.
secures adherence to financial policies at the site level
- manage site financial performance plan and provide summary to division's management.
- responsible for site financials kpi and reporting and validate the completeness, accuracy and quality of the data.
- responsible for forecast and budget preparation in collaboration with divisional analyst and cfo regional
- prepare presentation and gap analysis of site results and review with cfo and evp
- provides assistance and support on key financial processes such as group procedures, internal control system, continuous monitoring, accounting rules and approbation process.
- perform ad-hoc analysis and monitoring on specific topics such as cash, aging accounts receivables (ar), inventory, and industrial variances
- coordination of activities between site and other reporting units / intercompany
- customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment that supports and directly impacts senior executive management reports and decisions.
- support other tasks to fulfill company needs related with the field of control to meet organization goals
- assures compliance with hse policies, being preventing and formative in the culture of labor conditions improvements, improvement of environmental footprint and accidents avoidance.
