key responsibilities
* supervise and direct personnel in production scheduling, material control, expediting, and data processing support.
* direct supervisors to expedite, de-expedite, and traffic functions of the production and material control department.
* plan, direct, and execute physical inventories and reconcile discrepant records.
* develop and implement materials systems and ensure accuracy of all resultant records and reports.
* ensure employee safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
* prepare and administer department budgets, establish priorities and objectives, and review progress and personnel for merit reviews and salary recommendations.
* lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency.

requirements
* bachelor's degree in business, engineering, accounting, or related field.
* minimum seven years' experience in material management, including production scheduling, inventory control, material expediting, or warehouse management.
* ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and build relationships with all departments within the company.
* strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
