position overview:
we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented design engineer to join our engineering team with a focus on supporting the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing products, components, and systems that meet stringent industry requirements. This position requires proficiency in cad tools, a solid understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to perform testing and generate comprehensive test reports.
key responsibilities:
* design and develop products and systems for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical applications.
* create and modify 2d and 3d cad models and drawings using autocad and solidworks.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, quality, and manufacturing.
* conduct testing and validation of designed systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
* prepare, review, and maintain detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, bills of materials (boms), and test reports.
* utilize microsoft office tools to organize and present data, create reports, and communicate with stakeholders.
* support the development and improvement of engineering processes and design standards.
required qualifications:
* bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* 3+ years of relevant experience in design engineering, preferably within pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environments.
* proficiency in autocad and solidworks (or equivalent cad software).
* strong command of microsoft office suite (word, excel, powerpoint, outlook).
* experience in testing methodologies and the creation of formal test reports.
* strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* willingness to travel for training and functional support.
* bilingual english/spanish
preferred qualifications:
* experience with gmp (good manufacturing practices) environments.
* familiarity with asme bpe standards and sanitary design principles.
