This role is critical to ensuring payroll accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely execution while partnering closely with hr, finance, and external vendors.
Tasks and qualifications:
this is what you will do in this role:
manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for mexico, including weekly and bi‑weekly payrolls for three companies
execute complex payroll calculations, adjustments, off‑cycle payments, and final settlements for terminations
support special payroll processes such as annual isr adjustment, ptu, christmas bonus (aguinaldo), and savings fund
ensure full compliance with mexican labor and statutory regulations, including lft, imss, infonavit, i’coe, sisub, and sat requirements
maintain and manage employee payroll data across systems such as tress, ukg wfm, sap, and workday
calculate and process mandatory deductions and contributions, including isr, isn, and social security
generate accurate payroll reports for finance, accounting, and leadership, including variable sbc (salario base de cotización) reports
act as a subject matter expert, resolving complex payroll discrepancies, system issues, and employee inquiries
support internal and external audits (imss, sat), ensuring strong controls and audit readiness
collaborate with hr, finance, and third‑party vendors to ensure data accuracy and smooth payroll operations
what we are looking for:
proven experience managing mexican payroll with strong knowledge of imss, infonavit, lft, i’coe, sisub, and sat regulations
hands‑on experience with payroll and hr systems such as tress, ukg wfm, sap, workday, or similar platforms
strong excel skills for payroll analysis, reporting, and data validation
high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and data integrity focus
strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot complex payroll issues
excellent communication skills to support employees and stakeholders
ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
spanish and english proficiency required
bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field preferred
