As an eese ford champ you will learn and contribute to the design, development, and release of automotive wiring harnesses. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, the trainee will gain practical experience in various aspects of the engineering process, from initial design concepts to final product release. The trainee will participate in projects, learn industry-standard tools and methodologies, and develop skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.
*what you´ll need*:
- active student from any of the last 4 semesters of engineering.
- 90% english skills (oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- basic 3d cad knowledge. Willingness to learn and improve skills.
- proficiency in microsoft office suite (excel, word, powerpoint, and visio).
- basic understanding of time and project management principles. Willingness to learn and improve skills.
- familiarity with ford gpds (or willingness to learn).
- basic understanding of feature partitioning and automotive systems (willingness to learn and expand knowledge).
*what you´ll do*:
- assist in meeting program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets. This will involve data analysis, tracking progress, and contributing to problem-solving efforts.
- learn the principles of six sigma and 8d problem-solving. This will involve training and participation in problem-solving activities under supervision.
- assist in leading technical design reviews (tdrs). This will include preparing materials, participating in discussions, and documenting outcomes.
- assist in releasing parts in avbom and wers throughout the product lifecycle. This involves learning the relevant systems and procedures and contributing to data entry and management. Support the change control meeting.
- assist in auditing and updating the bill of material (bom). This involves learning bom management processes and contributing to data accuracy and maintenance.
- assist in identifying validation, durability, and functional tests required. This will involve learning relevant standards and contributing to the development of test plans.
