this role requires a hands‐on and adaptable professional capable of managing accounting responsibilities and contributing to broader operational needs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective support for business decisions.responsibilitiestake leadership through alignment with the plant manager reporting structure regarding development, implementation, and corporate-driven procedures.establish and maintain the necessary controls to safeguard company assets.prepare periodic financial reports, including financial statements, budgets, plans, forecasts, etc.maintain the plant's cost system standards and prepare related reports and analyses.provide professional expertise and guidance to the plant manager in all aspects related to financial reporting, costs, controls, and decision‐making.manage all functions related to naps accounting processes, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, and cost accounting, ensuring financial and cost systems are maintained accurately and timely.provide financial and cost information to support audits, regulations, and other compliance requirements.review, analyze, design, and implement internal control procedures and systems.implement necessary business and financial processes within the company's erp system.work with the plant manager to develop kpi reports.comply with all guidelines established in the skills and training matrix.demonstrate a high commitment to safety, quality, and environmental care.record petty cash control activities and provide the information to naps.manage fund disbursements and control corporate credit card expenses.analyze and review financial statements.supervise the company's fixed assets.identify budget variances and make the corresponding observations.monitor budget execution progress and ensure compliance according to authorized budgets.support decision‐making processes that enable financial control and follow‐up of the approved budget.support proper accounting classification with personnel involved in purchasing and accounting.prepare and submit weekly information for domestic payments.prepare and submit monthly information for international payments.ensure the flow of relevant accounting information for accounts payable, accounts receivable, distribution, and tax departments.verify intercompany balance confirmations on a quarterly basis.attend to and respond to audit requirements.perform other activities as required from time to time.required qualificationseducation: bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.work experience: 3 to 5 years as a general or senior accountant or equivalent role.knowledge of automotive manufacturing plants is preferred.advanced english proficiency is required.extensive knowledge of cost accounting and financial accounting practices and principles (aspe / gaap).
previous experience working with an erp system; sap is preferred but not required.strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.extensive knowledge of accounting, spreadsheets, and database software.knowledge of manufacturing systems and procedures.knowledge of the immex program.import/export knowledge (desired).
