what you will be doing:
create
* partner with industrial design, productmarketing, compliance to define product requirements using consumerinsights, market data, and sales feedback.
* analyze competitive products andwarranty data to inform and benchmark new designs.
* provide early-stage technicalfeasibility assessments to guide concept selection.
refine
* develop and refine designs using 3d cad(creo), fea, and cfd tools.
* leverage state-of-the-art on-siteprototyping and testing labs to build and validate physical prototypes.
* validate product value and usabilitythrough consumer and human experience research.
* collaborate closely with manufacturingteams and suppliers to balance performance, cost, quality, and timeline.
implement
* perform engineering calculations,tolerance analysis, and create detailed technical drawings using gd&tand engineering standards.
* apply design for manufacturing (dfm)principles to ensure robust, efficient, and scalable production.
* lead and support product verificationtesting to ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
* support manufacturing ramp-up, providinghands-on engineering support during pre-production and launch builds.
skills/requirements
education and experience requirements
sr.engineer level:
bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.
minimum of 4 years of mechanicalengineering experience.
demonstrate a working knowledge of cad modeling.
international and domestic travel asneeded.
hard skills
strong analysis of design interfacesthrough tolerance stack analysis to guarantee design intend.
moderate use of creo cad software tomodel and inspect 3d files, elaborate assemblies and 2d drawings by asmey14.5m for gd&t.
moderate understanding of materialsscience in applications for metal / mechanics, and elastomers.
moderate on designfor variability applications, such as dfss, process capability (cpk).
