Job summary
the maintenance supervisor is a critical role that oversees the technical maintenance team, ensuring their activities are executed effectively and efficiently. This position requires strong leadership skills to maintain a safe working environment, promote employee growth, and improve overall plant performance.
key responsibilities
* supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure seamless equipment operation and facility maintenance.
* maintain a culture of safety, adhering to ppe standards and 5s methodologies to prevent accidents and injuries.
* approve overtime requests according to established rules and policies.
* monitor and report key performance indicators (kpis) for equipment, including mtbf, mttr, and mttf.
* ensure preventive and predictive maintenance schedules are followed for all equipment.
* manage spare parts inventory in accordance with oem recommendations.
team management
* foster a positive work environment by promoting employee growth and development through training and empowerment programs.
* maintain accurate attendance and discipline records for team members.
* conduct regular meetings to review progress, address concerns, and set goals.
labor relations
* interpret collective bargaining agreements and resolve employee grievances in a fair and timely manner.
* develop strategies to prevent labor conflicts and maintain a harmonious work environment.
continuous improvement
* identify areas for improvement and implement cost-reduction initiatives using the qci program.
* collaborate with other departments to enhance productivity and efficiency.
requirements
* bachelor's degree in electromechanical engineering or robotics.
* at least 3 years of experience in operations maintenance, preferably in production and facilities.
* proficiency in spanish and english.
* leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
* ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
