The Engineering Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to drive a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team.
The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.Responsibilities: Ensure the goals of functional area are delivered to appropriate Operations & Technology (O&T;) organizationsOversee O&T; spending to ensure the firm's finances are budgeted and spent according to the Chief Technology officer's (CTO) technology strategiesManage overall execution of IT strategy and roadmap for the technology areaLead operational readiness and conformance to global operational standards for ongoing operation and supportUtilize an in-depth understanding of how engineering integrates within technology and commercial awarenessResponsible for training and coaching team members, performance management activities, monitoring quantity and quality of work, and addressing development needs for assigned personnelMake evaluative judgment based on analyzing information in complicated or unique situations; utilizing multiple sources of informationImpact engineering through overseeing planning, finances / budget, end results and policy settingNegotiate with senior leaders across functions and with external parties, as requiredAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Qualifications: 10+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering role with commensurate experience in people management.Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environmentProject Management experienceConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationComprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practicesDemonstrated analytic/diagnostic skillsAbility to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teamsAbility to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiativeAbility to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirementsProven track record of operational process change and improvementEducation: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster's degree preferredResponsable de las distintas áreas de Soporte Técnico de la Plataforma Tandem, incluidas las de Soporte a la Infraestructura (Sistemas Operativos, administración del HW Y SW, Almacenamiento, Productos de Terceros, Conectividad y Seguridad), Soporte a las Aplicaciones (Capa de Middleware, Sistemas Transaccionales y Bases de Datos), Arquitectura e Ingeniería de la Plataforma (vista Infraestructura), e Integración de Soluciones, entre otras.
