Responsibilities
provide supervision and training to fedex’s security officers and contract guards to ensure the safety and security of fedex property. Administer security programs for fedex management, employee groups, and customers in country. Select, train, develop, motivate, and supervise contract guards. Ensure and oversee the appropriate response to all emergency and crisis situations. Conduct investigations into thefts, pilferage, acts of vandalism, misconduct, and other activities detrimental to the company, its employees, and its customers. Review country, station, ramp, hub, and office security practices and develop corrective action plans to ensure corporate and local compliance. Monitor, analyze, and recommend ways to improve service, practices, reduce costs, and package losses. Provide training to fedex personnel in loss prevention, security awareness, proper packaging, and handling for various commodities. Develop and maintain a cooperative business relationship with local law enforcement agencies. Identify loss cargo claim trends to operations management; identify top customers that are filling repetitive loss claims and follow up accordingly. Provide matrix support to various management levels and protect senior management as specified in the executive protection program. Implement and monitor sales security programs by developing incremental revenue opportunities and ensuring proper customer shipping practices. Assist sales in identifying customers that require improved packaging methods.
qualifications
bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Six years of law enforcement, airline security, or related professional experience. Knowledge of country security laws, regulations, and requirements. Good investigative, analytical, and communication skills. Must be able to speak, write, and read english. Travel required. Maestro certification required.
