The quality inspector supports quality assurance systems and procedures for ensuring supplier component and club assembly quality in a high volume manufacturing environment. The primary responsibility will be supporting quality assurance activities to insure quality standards for supplier components and assembled golf clubs. This will include helping determine supplier capabilities, auditing supplier performance and quality through incoming inspection of golf components and finished golf clubs.
*responsibilities*:
- identifies raw material condition by collecting materials samples; conducting inspections and physical tests on materials, and recording results
- identifies in-process product condition by collecting samples during production process; inspecting product to establish methods and standards, and recording results
- determines acceptability of rework by conducting inspections and physical tests of reworked product
- documents finished product status by recording and summarizing raw materials, in-process, and finished-product inspection and physical test data.
- maintains product quality documentation system by writing or rewriting quality procedures
- maintains quality assurance operations by following quality assurance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
*experience and education*:
- education - high school or ged
- 6 months to 1 year of quality inspection experience
- bi-lingual preferred
- knowledge of golf club components and assembly preferred
- working knowledge of small gauges and test instruments
*required skills*:
- good analytical and problem solving skills
- solid basic math skills
- good computer skills
- good communication skills both written and oral
- must be flexible and able to adapt to changes in priorities
