Job description
assist with the management of the distribution center operations, typically assigned to small to medium-sized facilities.
* ensure order fulfillment and production are completed.
* plan, lead, and measure all daily processes.
* oversee shift assignments and adherence to overtime limitations.
* help ensure efficient utilization and proper return by assisting in the management of all capital assigned to the distribution center.
* ensure material is received and moved correctly. Review aspects of inventory management.
* assist with contract negotiations for new business.
* provide timely responses to service failures and customer concerns.
* visit key accounts.
* ensure safe practices are in place and followed.
* monitor activities of the work team.
* ensure housekeeping guidelines are followed.
* assist with the oversight of the maintenance of warehouse equipment and private truck fleet.

qualifications
* education: bachelor’s degree.
* relevant work experience: at least 5 years in a distribution center environment.
* additional requirements:
o willing to travel up to 20% for business purposes (within and out of state).
o ability to work full early and late shifts plus weekends at least once a month.
o capable of lifting 50 pounds and standing or walking for prolonged periods.
o ability to work in hot and cold environments (32f – 95f).
