Industrial engineer & continuous improvement – sanimex

work mode: onsite

location: juarez, nuevo león


overview

under the supervision of the project specialist, this position reports to the continuous improvement coordinator (cic) and is responsible for updating material changes, determining standard costs, maintaining sap & vis information updates, and keeping quality, production, and materials informed via electronic media. The role supports activities and continuous improvement projects aimed to achieve efficiency and productivity, reduce wastes and cost, and detect opportunity areas in vis and sap. The candidate must have an analytical approach and be detail-oriented while managing large amounts of data.


responsibilities

* responsible for the vis activities, as create the plate, create the parts, create the cross reference, create the mold number, create and assign the mold number to the plates. This position is also responsible for the defects creation and changes.
* responsible to add the part numbers of materials to the inspection plans.
* responsible for the creation of routings, rework bom, production version.
* audits and correct the findings to the master data.
* responsible of the sap maintenance, activities as routings, equivalent units, labor and materials.
* monitor and correct the r-mails and cogi in sap.
* responsible to check and update the engineering changes (drawings, changes on bom, changes on standards, etc).
* notify to production, materials and quality about the changes of the materials, changes of revision in plates through electronic media, and through a meeting.
* audit and correct the bom for parts and plate numbers.
* responsible elaborate the pci or rea for changes in the bom (slip and glaze formulas and assembly packing).
* audit the snp in the system for the schedule of sku.
* be a key player in the raw material and finish product materials, in order to make sure that we have a match between the system and the parts physically.
* participate on monthly and annually fg inventories in order to match the system and real quantities.
* support on the kaizen events leading and couching teams.
* support on lean tools and methodologies kos implementations, (trainings, std works, times studies,, give follow up to achieve kos savings goals).
* comply with the health and safety roles and responsibilities established for this position (see responsibilities chart by position).

qualifications

* education: preference bachelor degree in engineering.
* experience: preference one year of related experience.
* formation: must have the ability to understand sap and vis systems, standard cost and bom structure. Bilingual (english & spanish) is preferred. Lean tools knowledge.
