Overviewhannover re has recently created a new subsidiary, hannover re capital partners limited (hcp), which will be registered as an insurance agent with a focus on writing non proportional property catastrophe reinsurance business for third party capital investors. Hannover re capital partners is a new setup and aims to strategically expand hannover re’s ils activities by combing it with its world-leading natural catastrophe underwriting capabilities. We are currently seeking applicants for our head of operations position reporting to the chief executive officer. This position plays a key role in organizing the ils activities, finance and accounting processes as well as interfaces to hannover re bermuda and hannover re group. The person shall also undertake additional related duties from time to time.
Main responsibilities
oversee, coordinate, and monitor the day-to-day operational activities on behalf of hcp
establish processes and procedures on an operational level with respect to the various interfaces that exist between hcp - hrb and hcp - hr se
ensure regular investor and performance reporting, fee calculation and governance
responsibility for governance and legal agreements between hrb, hcp and segregated cell companies including trust account in coordination with cio and ampega
ensure governance around investor and performance reporting and fee calculation and billing
ensure process implementation between hcp and hrb in liaison with hrb cfo and hrb cro
work collaboratively in a team environment assisting members of the organization where necessary
regular reporting to ceo and hcp board on all operational matters
preparation of company financial statements (hcp) in coordination with hrb cfo and company secretary
regular resource assessment in line with portfolio developments and regulatory requirements.

requirements
bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance or accounting.
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience working in an international environment with technical knowledge in the specialist fields of ils operations
strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as capability to assume responsibility for complex processes
highly motivated self-starter who can operate independently and develop relationships
ability to multi-task and work under pressure to deliver on key deadlines with attention to detail
assured approach to dealing with internal and external customers and stakeholders
strong interpersonal skills and work ethic with a willingness to work extra hours as required
