design, manufacture, and improve semi-automatic and automatic mechanisms to meet various needs, including new product implementation, quality and safety improvements, and increased productivity through new technologies in connector and cable manufacturing processes.
responsibilities include:
* supervising mechanical and control engineers, providing daily communication, weekly meetings, and training.
* designing and manufacturing machines and equipment for terminals, cables, and harnesses.
* identifying automation projects, designing and managing machinery involved in production.
* developing improvements in plc/scada and hmi systems.
* utilizing technology to enhance, refine, and automate production processes, ensuring resource productivity.
* planning and executing projects to minimize machine downtime.
* establishing process stability through parameter control and troubleshooting.
* simplifying and automating processes via modeling and simulation.
* training personnel on new implementations.
* configuring databases, systems, networks, and hardware.
* coordinating machine and equipment repairs and adjustments.
* participating in process design reviews and ensuring compliance with pdp process requirements.
* supporting current mbm philosophy, six sigma, eicc, iso, iaft, and eh&s policies.
qualifications:
* bachelor's or master's in engineering, control, automation, or mechatronics.
* at least 5 years of experience in cable assembly processes.
* advanced english skills.
* extensive knowledge of machine design and manufacturing.
* knowledge of dfmea process.
* understanding of machines and tooling for connectors, cables, and harnesses.
preferred skills:
* knowledge of lean manufacturing, tpm, and smed.
* ability to design experiments and conduct characterization studies.
* project management skills for goal setting and project execution.
* knowledge of early equipment design (eem).
