responsibilities
four key areas that you’ll always focus on are the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department.
* collaborate with site leadership on quality and customer experience metrics, including the root cause analysis of problem areas.
* streamline logistics in the operation through the implementation of standard work and team leadership.
* support and commit to all safety programs and osha compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
* proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and lean tools.
* lead and supervise a team focused on yard operations, aligning fulfillment center operation with transportation execution.
* plan and manage yard capacity and trailer pool for designated site.
* carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
* drive high safety standards for all yard operations, ensuring safe work environment for amazon and non‑amazon workers.
* audit and ensure compliance to all standard work, workplace health and safety (whs) and environmental regulations.
* meet and exceed operational goals.
* own area performance metrics and communicate them to tom and site leadership.
a day in the life
every morning, you review site key transportation metrics – the lifeblood of our operations: safety yard events and on time departure [otd]. After that you will be ready to go into the gemba walk and daily dive deep meetings in your site. As a tam professional, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving amazon’s logistics evolution – shaping the way goods move, empowering our people, and delivering exceptional experiences for our customers. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions. They are key to making amazon more innovative and efficient.
basic qualifications
* 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
* work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
* bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
* speak, write, and read fluently in english, and have the ability to take direction in english.
preferred qualifications
* 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
