As a bi cae ford champ you will analize ford and lincoln components (hard trim, seat plastics & overhead systems) using different finite element software, this to support and drive design while interacting with cross functional teams.
*what you´ll need*:
- active student from any of the last 4 semesters of engineering, fundamentals such as solid mechanics, thermoplastic materials and manufacturing processes.
- 90% english skills (oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- knowledge of cae (ls-dyna, abaqus, nastran, hypermesh and/or other commercially available fea program is desirable).
- organization with assignments.
- passion to overcome challenges and keep learning.
- presentation skills
- be proactive for finding solutions to given issues
*what you´ll do*:
- support to build cae models (meshing, setting, and running) for hard trim, seat plastics & overhead system components. With special focus in injection molding & structural.
- support to update the material database for the bi cae team.
- interpretation of cae model results.
- support generating feasible proposals to solve performance and manufacturing issues.
- support to cae team to validate product changes using the appropriate engineering cae tools.
- participate in meetings for cae reviews with relevant stakeholders.
- support on the development of "lessons learned" and "best practices".
