Scheduling engineers develop and maintain detailedproject schedules for large or complex projects, inclusive ofdesign, procurement, construction, close-out, equipmentinstallation, and commissioning activities. They must understandand apply terminology, concepts, and develop relationships with allstakeholders (owners, general, ae, subcontractors and suppliers).they monitor and document construction progress, create cost andresource-loaded schedules, analyze impacts and generate correctiveactions to mitigate/avoid overruns. They must be able to customizeproject control systems to meet specific project requirements, andprovide clear and concise analysis, including project indicators ona regular basis. Sr. Project controls engineers may also beresponsible for leading, developing, and assessing others. They mayalso be asked to participate in training and instruction of projectcontrols standards and practices. Responsibilities the scheduler /senior scheduler will monitor and document construction progress,identify, track and assist in resolution of constructionissues/conflicts. They will monitor, review and report to theproject manager and or clients, the schedule status of the projectwith regard to compliance to the construction contractspecifications and other documents. Scheduler will create cost andresource loaded scheduling, gather data, validate and incorporateit into the project schedule, analyze schedule impacts andrecommend corrective action to be taken in order to mitigate/avoidcost and schedule overruns. They will also prepare clear andconcise scheduling/update analysis reports, including projectindicators on a regular basis. - support corporate initiatives,accumulating historical performance data, for use in a realisticplanning and forecasting of future projects. - effectivelyinterface and participate in difficult conversations with entireproject team (owner, general, ae, subcontractors and suppliers) -in addition to proven proficiency with oracle primavera andmicrosoft project, the sr. Scheduler will be required to utilizeother software tools to validate and interact with projectscheduling tools (i.e., excel, adobe, bluebeam, synchro, etc.) -collect, input, validate and analyze progress in the masterschedule, using p6. - assess that project objectives, both shortand long term, are being met. - incorporate detail fragments andother sequencing modifications as required. - prepare and publishreports on a regular basis. Qualifications - bachelor's degree inengineering or construction management preferred; or equivalentprofessional training and experience with high school diploma. -minimum of two years of related construction experience. - must bea planner and know how to build. - microsoft office and primaverascheduling software experience. - proficient in cost, manpower andequipment resource loaded schedule. - proficient in gathering,maintaining, reporting and analyzing schedule data. - strong timemanagement and communication skills. - must be able to travel andwork on a job site.
