overview
job summary: we seek a dynamic and results-driven business development manager (bdm) to lead revenue growth in the mexico region, primarily targeting automotive oems and tier 1 suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive product development lifecycles, established relationships in the industry, and a passion for bringing high-value engineering solutions to clients.
responsibilities
* revenue generation: own and drive revenue targets for automotive engineering services within assigned accounts and territory.
* client acquisition & growth: identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with oems and tier 1 suppliers.
* account management: build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at client organizations.
* market mapping: analyze market trends, identify customer needs, and translate them into actionable business opportunities.
* proposal & contracting: lead proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations in collaboration with delivery and legal teams.
* collaboration: work closely with solution architects, technical pre-sales, and delivery teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs.
* forecasting & reporting: maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and report progress using crm and sales dashboards.
requirements
* experience: 12 to 15 years in business development or sales in the automotive engineering services industry.
* proven track record of achieving revenue targets consistently.
* domain knowledge: strong understanding of automotive integrated systems and domains (e.g., mechanical, embedded, and digital solutions).
* network: good relationships with automotive oem / tier 1 companies in mexico.
* education: bachelor's degree in engineering or business; mba preferred.
* skills: strategic thinking and consultative selling; excellent communication and presentation skills; strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* travel: willingness to travel across the region and occasionally to global clients or delivery locations.
