What you will do?
job scope & purposeas a buyer iii in our organization, you will be responsible for leading the procurement strategies for direct materials suppliers, developing suppliers, executing savings projects, assuring an adequate supplier assignment to each purchased item, and supporting expediting processes with suppliers to ensure that direct material is supplied in a timely manner and meets delivery dates to minimize the risk of inventory stock-out or revenue impact.how you will do it?
essential job responsibilitiesmanage assigned suppliers/commodities to ensure ongoing supply and appropriate pricing.ensure the cost, quality, and timely supply of all required goods and materials in compliance with respective business plans, budgets, and targets.ensure compliance with global procurement policies.improve working capital through optimum payment terms.ensure costs are competitive with market rates.monitor vendor performance and support the materials department to ensure proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve vendor development.communicate and resolve issues related to delivery, pricing, and invoicing with vendors in a timely manner to avoid material shortages.lead and coordinate savings projects.lead and coordinate procurement assignments on npi projects.set up new suppliers and manage existing ones in vendor master.manage suppliers within given programs (request for quotes rfq, change management, contract negotiations, payment queries, dispute resolutions, etc.
