Role overview
as our mexico sales manager (system integration), you will be responsible for selling complete energy storage system integration solutions to utility, industrial, and commercial clients. You will act as the local face of our company, building relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing deals for grid‑scale storage projects.
key responsibilities
develop and execute a sales strategy for bess system integration in the mexican market.
hunt for new business: utilities (cfe), private power generators, ipps, renewable developers, large industrials, and epcs requiring turnkey storage solutions.
lead the full sales cycle – from lead generation, technical qualification, and proposal development to contract negotiation and closing.
educate clients on the value of integrated bess solutions (including battery, pcs, ems, and balance of system) for grid stability, peak shaving, and renewable firming.
coordinate with internal engineering and project teams to ensure proposed solutions meet local grid codes (cenace, cre) and client requirements.
represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings across mexico.
track and report pipeline, forecasts, and kpis to regional management.
requirements
mexican or valid work permit in mexico (no visa sponsorship available).
languages: spanish + professional working proficiency in english (able to negotiate contracts and communicate with global teams).
experience: 2+ years in b2b sales of energy solutions – specifically utility‑scale storage, solar + storage, medium/high voltage electrical equipment, or system integration for renewable projects.
industry knowledge: familiar with mexico’s electricity market (cenace, cre, grid code) and the local players (utilities, epcs, developers).
proven track record: consistently exceeded annual sales targets (>$5m usd preferred).
willingness to travel within mexico (and occasionally internationally).
nice to have
direct experience selling battery energy storage system (bess) integration (including scada, ems, and balance of plant).
existing network among cfe, private transmission/generation companies, or major epcs in mexico.
engineering degree (electrical, power systems, renewable energy) – not mandatory but a plus.
