position overview
steam turbines specialist coordinates and oversees work at the field site, providing quality service to the customer. The role may include sales, job design, execution, and follow-up activities. The specialist plans jobs, provides instructions to crew and equipment, directs service operators, manages cleanup, repairs, and equipment preparation for the next job, evaluates crew performance, and trains operators to improve performance.
responsibilities
* coordinate and direct activities of service operators at field sites.
* provide the planning necessary for the job, including instructions to crew and equipment used.
* coordinate cleanup, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.
* evaluate individual performance levels of the crew and train operators to improve job performance.
* collaborate with crew members to the installation and/or maintenance activities of customer equipment in the field.
* execute specific tasks following site quality check lists and maintain records of all activities accomplished at customer site.
* interact with customer representatives and site teams on routine matters such as coordination meetings.
* promote and maintain good team relations, execute responsibilities safely, and comply with baker hughes core values (hse, quality, compliance).
qualifications
* have at least 5 years'+ of experience in field service or maintenance position.
* participated in minor/major outages, commissioning and installation.
* ability to understand and implement technical drawings.
* knowledge of maintenance procedures for steam turbines.
* troubleshooting experience.
* availability to travel 90% of the time.
* fluent in english and spanish.
* able to work offshore and overseas.
* t bosiet/thuet certificates are a plus.
