Position summary:the transportation analyst is responsible for supporting the development of commercial proposals by analyzing costs, operational data, and transportation networks across mexico, the united states, and canada. This role plays a key part in identifying cost-saving opportunities, building tailored logistics solutions, and preparing accurate, competitive proposals for both new prospects and existing customers.the analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing strategies and proposed solutions align with operational capabilities and customer expectations.key responsibilities:analyze new, existing, and historical business data to support strategic pricing and proposal development.prepare detailed cost models and profitability analyses to support rfqs, rfps, and other commercial opportunities.collaborate with internal teams (operations, engineering, pricing, sales, finance) to design customer-specific logistics solutions.conduct transportation cost analysis, including provider rate increases and network impact assessments.review account and invoice performance to identify margin improvement and efficiency opportunities.develop and maintain customized reports for internal stakeholders and clients.input and maintain pricing information and service configurations in internal systems to ensure correct implementation.support the preparation of presentations for internal and external use, including quarterly business reviews (qbrs), kaizens, and commercial bids.participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cost optimization projects.ensure alignment of all proposals with internal policies, operational feasibility, and financial goals.preferred qualifications:bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, finance, international trade, industrial engineering, or a related field.0–2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, 3pl, pricing, or commercial analysis.skills and competencies:strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfortable with cost modeling and margin analysis.advanced proficiency in microsoft excel; experience with bi tools or erp systems is a plus.excellent written and verbal communication skills in english.strong organizational skills with attention to detail.team-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.comfortable presenting data and recommendations to stakeholders and clients.#protrans
