Job summary
provide project management support cross-functionally within the business unit and customer teams and partners for the assigned business unit.
essential duties and responsibilities
1. perform data aggregation and reporting activities in areas key to the success of the business unit, including but not limited to performance metrics.
2. support new developments, initiatives, and activities; coordinate and communicate with various areas throughout the business unit (globally or regionally) on customer issues.
3. evaluate current processes and tools to determine their ability to meet the department’s business needs.
4. manage daily operational activities, such as arranging meetings, publishing minutes, tracking project schedules, and monitoring key performance metrics.
5. create and manage project timelines, tracking tasks, deliverables, and timelines in a dynamic environment.
6. build rapport with internal teams and external partners like suppliers and contract manufacturers.
7. manage communications and status updates professionally, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
8. analyze processes, identify improvements, and develop actionable plans to address gaps.
9. conduct bom risk analysis for sustaining programs, including sourcing and sampling.
10. assist in minimizing delays caused by time zone differences between us engineering teams and overseas resources.
11. compile reports and metrics as needed.
12. participate in staff and program meetings, providing feedback.
13. support project teams on value engineering activities and track ve programs.
14. provide monthly status updates for ipt and manufacturing operations.
15. perform roi analysis and data entry in relevant databases.
16. coordinate action plans with business units and product operations.
17. manage mini-projects for part qualifications, providing feedback to customers.
18. track qualification status and act as a liaison between customers and contract manufacturers.
19. manage last time buy processes, including part verification and customer communication.
20. write deviations and coordinate rework for mini-projects.
21. work with commodity management on lead-free builds.
22. manage samples and coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers.
23. understand and adhere to departmental functions, processes, procedures, and systems.
24. follow all safety, health, and security procedures as directed.
25. perform other duties as assigned.
job qualifications
knowledge requirements
* strong problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; analytical and project management skills.
* effective at presenting information and responding to groups of managers, clients, and customers.
* ability to define problems, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.
* proficient in pc operations, including windows os and related software.
* advanced skills in spreadsheets, erp/mrp systems, and familiarity with jabil’s software.
* ability to write simple correspondence and understand visual aids.
* capable of following simple instructions and interpreting technical data.
* comfortable with mathematical concepts, including probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
* proficient in basic arithmetic and graph interpretation.
