we create innovative and impactful experiences for brands around the world, both b2b and b2c.
we are seeking a senior project manager to lead our growth in the mexican market, bringing expertise and ensuring excellence in the quality and execution of projects, always aligned with our client's global values and objectives.
key responsibilities
operational execution
- full development of event proposals tailored to mexico market
- lead and oversee projects during rfp phases and proposal development at all levels
- build and manage a network of freelancers and stakeholders to support different phases of the business when internal resources are insufficient.
sales & business development
- achieve an annual revenue target of $2 million usd within year 1, as well as targets set for each fiscal year
- ensure at least three active client accounts are added to our client's portfolio each fiscal year, with real revenue contribution, including at least one key new account annually.
interaction with headquarters
- collaborate remotely with our client's headquarters in madrid
- provide monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports
- successfully adapt to different cultural environments.
proposal development & operational execution
- experience in budgeting and developing client proposals aligned with our global strategic plan
- strong operational and production knowledge to support proposal development
- ability to structure quotes, determine fees, and identify key partners to include in proposals.
business development
- lead client prospecting, generate new business opportunities, and improve proposal conversion rates
- drive client retention through excellence in project execution.
regulatory compliance
- ensure all operations comply with local laws and internal policies.
strategy & general management
- implement and execute a local business strategy aligned with our client's global objectives
- meet or exceed sales targets, margins, and service quality standards within the mexican market
team management
- support recruitment efforts as the business grows, hiring high-impact "a-player" talent.
- lead, manage, and motivate the local team to achieve established objectives.
- develop training and professional growth plans for mexico-based employees.
required experience
- 5–6+ years of proven success within the production department of a mexican-based events agency (experience with technology clients would be a great match)
- demonstrated track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- interest in working in a multicultural environment within a company headquartered in spain.
- experience managing global events is a plus.
- cultural and linguistic fluency is a plus.
immediate actions
- transfer knowledge and expertise of the mexican events market across product, operations, and commercial functions.
- approve the mexico budget in collaboration with headquarters.
- structure the workflow system across the different phases (lead generation, conversion, and execution), supported by the necessary network of collaborators.
- validate commercial and business development activities to generate leads.
- identify and compile a list of potential client accounts based on existing professional connections.
