Job description:
the category manager indirect material is responsible for developing and implementing a procurement strategy focused on optimizing costs, spend, delivery, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products/services.
* leverage the continuous improvement process to implement effective sourcing strategies in line with business requirements.
* ensure productivity and minimize risk by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures.
* negotiate agreements with key suppliers and periodically renew price lists, terms, and conditions.
* adapt corporate contractual framework to local business needs and recommend frame agreements to management.
key responsibilities:
* develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned categories or groups of categories.
* manage active spend and budget.
* ensure execution in accordance with scm instructions and procedures.
* identify, investigate, and select appropriate suppliers focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
* define and establish local standard agreements as needed.
* provide and maintain standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with directives and guidelines.
* design and implement cost-out programs and/or processes to reach financial targets.
* apply and implement scm standards, tools, and processes focused on business continuity for assigned commodities or groups of commodities.
