leads a team of financial analysts; collaborates with the executive management team to manage all plant financials.

* working closely with top management and other key stakeholders to prepare annual budgets and formulate strategic plans to meet business objectives.
* driving forecast and budget process in coordination with plant manager/director.
* providing financial support and analysis of regional strategy including footprint migration, consolidation or expansion activities, capacity analysis, automation projects, and other capital investments.
* coordinating and conducting monthly plant reviews and productivity analysis for conversion and materials.
responsibilities
* manage all financial areas for the manufacturing location
* prepare forecasts for hermosillo manufacturing facilities
* participate in annual cost development, including labor and overhead rates
* prepare capital expenditure analysis/review
* supervise month end closing process and report out
* maintain strong internal control environment
* provide financial oversight of inventory accuracy and control measures of performance
* understand plant operations and products and apply knowledge of costing, forecasting, budgeting, and general business management
* provide financial guidance to site director and staff
* drive process improvement and lean manufacturing concepts to build quality products at lowest cost
* lead plant finance staff and ensure ongoing individual development
* prepare and present weekly and monthly results to business unit management
* other ad-hoc reporting as needed for plant management team, corporate finance, and center of excellence (coe).
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; mba and/or cma preferred
* experience in various financial disciplines (operations, costing, accounting, and financial planning)
* minimum of 7 years experience in progressive accounting positions, minimum 4 years previous manufacturing plant experience required
* must be able to demonstrate understanding and ownership of initiatives for improvement in process controls and procedures
* must be highly organized and be able to work on multiple projects that will vary widely in scope, size, and type
* ability to deal with, and effectively navigate an ever-changing environment with a matrix reporting structure
* experience in supporting or regular interaction with various management levels.
* strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
* demonstrated knowledge of erp systems, preferably sap
* demonstrated computer proficiency; strong ms office skills required
