responsible to design, validate, implement and sustain test systems, including documentation, training and statistical process control. An engineer seeks and promotes the continuous improvement and automation of the test processes on current and transfers businesses.
*_job responsibilities_*
- optimize test process complying with customer demand, quality, product specifications and safety to improve production shop floor in order to accomplish with company profits.
- responsible of creating test standard procedures and follow up adherence, support focus factory units to eliminate or mitigate down time.
- follow up and implement equipment, process and product changes according to mcos and deviations, implement corrective and preventive actions according to the quality system to avoid reoccurrence of failures.
- test equipment development/improvement (software and hardware) design, develop and implement test fixtures with proper guarding to eliminate or mitigate any risks, implement automation projects for more reliable processes and cost out savings according to assigned budget.
- perform msa (measurement system analysis) studies according to aiag msa and internal procedure.
- develop tpm programs (total preventive maintenance) and assure correct implementation on test equipment to reduce down time.
- execute test validation methods to meet quality test specifications according to apqp methodology.
- develop training materials for test operations and make sure technicians and equipment operators are trained according to standards.
- develop testing for new products based on specifications and supports npi's implementation
- develop and implement improvement solutions based on industry 4.0 with an automotive mindset.
- participate during layout changes.
- participates in safety assessments and generate jsa and moc (job safety analysis and management of changes)
ehs responsibilities:
- separate hazardous waste from the common waste.
- place hazardous waste (gloves, rags, etc.) in assigned containers.
- keep clean the work área contaminant free.
- do not waste water.
- report any activity that may jeopardize my safety and the environment.
- identify and properly dispose all the chemicals that may contaminate the environment.
- ensure the correct container for the disposal of hazardous waste (identified containers and containers to prevent spills).
- report the entry of new chemicals required for maintenance purposes due to mantain a record updated and assure the compliance of the correct handling of them.
- contain oil spills and repair as necessary.

- preferred education level:_
- bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, electromechanical engineering or similar
- years and area of experience required: _
- 3 - 5 years of experience in electrical test engineering positions or similar position.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- technical knowledge:_
- strong knowledge of ipc-610, 620, 7710 and iso 9001:2015 and iatf 16949.
- highly skilled on c++ programming, cvi, lab view, chroma platforms (preferred).
- basic knowledge on ict and functional testers (preferred).
- soft skills:_
- strong knowledge on automation, programming, test devices and basic troubleshooting.
- strong written and verbal communication skills in english and spanish.
