The Senior Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations. This position is responsible for coordinating transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. The idóneo candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with logistics software, and a proven track record of improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
- Optimize transportation routes and carrier selection to reduce costs and improve delivery performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure product availability.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and carriers.
- Ensure accurate documentation for shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Lead or support logistics-related projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior logistics staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and Incoterms.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS, WMS).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
