about the job
health & hygiene coordinator, within our general vaccines business, will be responsible for ensuring the site’s activities comply with all relevant health and hygiene regulations and standards.

The health & hygiene coordinator will ensure compliance, safety and hygiene across the site.
main responsibilities
* develop and implement local health policies and programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment; establish and maintain high hygiene standards across the site.
* identify, anticipate, evaluate and control local processes (manufacturing, control, storage, etc), environmental factors or stresses in the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health or impact wellbeing. Lead exposure assessment programs (api, cmr, oeb4 &5, chemical handling, biological agents, noise, ergonomic, etc) and drive management reviews.
* conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential health and hygiene hazards and work closely with the team to solve issues and implement mitigation strategies.
* oversee occupational health and hygiene (biosafety) monitoring programs, including regular health check‑ups and occupational health assessments for employees and conduct meetings with local internal and external stakeholders.
* establish metrics and monitor data to identify trends and issues and implement action plans.
* develop and deliver training programs on health and hygiene best practices for all employees and stakeholders to ensure the necessary knowledge and capabilities for their tasks.
* lead investigations of health‑related incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* analyze health and hygiene data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and report findings to senior leadership and site management.
* foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive innovation in health and hygiene initiatives and process improvements to maintain a competitive edge.
* lead and promote health and wellness initiatives, such as vaccination programs, mental health support, and healthy lifestyle campaigns.
* lead and manage the health & hygiene (biosafety) team, including hiring, training, coaching, capability development and performance evaluation, driving an excellent operating mindset.

relevant experience in hse field, administering occupational health, hygiene, chemical safety and biosafety within the pharmaceutical industry.
