*what you will do*
using advanced, broad-based finance, accounting and business knowledge, performs analyses to support and measure enterprise results and effectively manages financial planning projects and resources to ensure project success. Works with independence, interacts regularly with business and corporate management to consolidate and analyze quarterly forecasts and plans, analyze monthly financial results and establish & measure key financial targets. Performs competitive analyses, researches industry trends and develops recommendations for executive management. Prepares written/graphical financial information to support executive communications to the board of directors, institutional investors, rating agencies, etc.
*how you will do it*
- prepares, analyzes and reviews quarterly rolling forecasts, annual profit plans for the consolidated corporation. Analyzes and reviews actual monthly financial performance and prepares periodic financial outlooks.
- instinctively recognizes inconsistencies in financial data and initiates and manages the appropriate corrective action.
- calculates/measures progress towards executive compensation targets.
- acts in a consulting role with corporate department leaders, demonstrates understanding of the financial analysis process and applies that knowledge to developing cost effective analyses and recommendations and supporting the budgeting process.
- maintains dialog with executive management and business financial personnel to identify and evaluate evolving business issues.
- manages special studies and analyses on an independent basis, assuming responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the studies/analyses.
- prepares materials for board of directors meetings and for quarterly earnings release / analyst presentations
*what we look for*
- bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance with mba or cpa preferred.
- progressive level of responsibility and a minimum of 8 years of rich experience in finance and/or accounting.
- excellent communication skills, including significant experience presenting to senior management.
- strong interpersonal skills including the ability to influence across the organization.
- should have ability to listen effectively, evaluate the most critical elements being communicated and communicate with team and director on an open and timely basis.
- sound analytical depth and strong accounting skills.
- solid project management and business consultant skills.
- working knowledge of excel/power point/word is essential.
- experience with hfm is essential.
