a day in the life

the paid search specialist is responsible for creating paid search campaigns using google ads, managing client budgets and assisting in account analysis and reporting. This role works closely with strategists and account managers to collaborate on all campaigns and strategies within the google ads suite. The specialist is an attentive learner, eager to problem‑solve and hungry to grow their technical, strategic and analytical skills.

responsibilities
  • manage or support paid search campaigns across various industries.
  • make daily optimisations and pacing adjustments to campaigns.
  • analyse performance data and provide intelligent analysis, interpretation and appropriate action plans based on data‑driven conclusions.
  • help determine client benchmarking and implement optimisations to hit client kpis in the quickest time possible.
  • keep up your education on industry topics.
  • participate in the hiring process ensuring the best resources are selected for the team.
  • communicate clearly with the internal agency team about client goals, feedback and scheduled workflow.
  • improve paid media processes and innovate new strategies and techniques.
  • manage vendor relationships for new and existing channels.
  • work towards developing into a strategist or account manager.
  • employ ai technologies to enhance and optimise business processes.
  • utilise and leverage power digital’s nova ecosystem as it relates to your department.
requirements
  • ideally 1‑2 years of digital marketing; agency experience a plus.
  • minimum 6 months of experience in search engine marketing, including bid monitoring, adjustment of paid search campaigns, and writing effective copy targeted to clients’ core products or services.
  • strong excel skills with advanced features.
  • ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • detail‑oriented, organised and strong note‑taking acumen.
  • strong enthusiasm, passion, creativity and commitment to paid media and client work.
  • entrepreneurial spirit with passion for knowledge and personal growth.
