as reservations manager, you are responsible for achieving occupancy targets/levels as identified in the annual budget and marketing plan for reservations. The reservations manager will work with the sales and events teams to develop future and repeat business opportunities. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
* maximising occupancy levels by reviewing and revising revenue strategies
* working with the sales and events teams to maximise corporate and group rates
* managing third-party sites and agents to establish rates, negotiate prices, ensure proper implementation of reservations procedures, and maximise conversion ratios to achieve department targets
* contributing to the hotel's selling strategy and ensuring departmental adherence
* understanding the competitive marketplace and implementing strategies to keep the hotel ahead in the local market
* ensuring team members are developed effectively, fostering a culture of high standards in relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and contract processing
* building strong relationships with customers, guests, and team members to understand and meet their needs
* assisting in recruiting, managing, training, and developing the team
* participating in hotel promotional activities
