you ensure all colleagues are paid in accordance with local laws and regulations and the established processing guidelines of the company.
you ensure compliance with all country payroll regulations, overseeing and maintaining the company's payroll platform/external service providers, tax, and statistical reporting compliance for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.this role reports into our payroll lead for mexico and is based out of the mexico city support office.a day in the lifeworking at h&m means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*- review all new hires in the payroll system to ensure accuracy and process any necessary corrections- review and secure external providers invoicing (if needed)- maintain master data and employee files (electronic or paper)- process employee payroll changes, additional earnings such as overtime, shift allowances, salary changes (increases/decreases) and calculation of back pay (when applicable)- verify payroll hours from the time & attendance system to ensure colleagues are being paid correctly- process payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations- follow up on employees´ sick and vacation time and termination calculation in an accurate and reliable form- ensure compliance with established controls by process- control and ensure payment of third-party payroll (afc, voluntary contributions, garnishments, etc
