your role at baxter
the value stream leader supports the manager in coordinating overall performance including safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and inventory management. The position may supervise all value stream functions and employees including the production supervisor, planner/buyer, manufacturing engineer, and production team associates. The role ensures production, product scheduling, planning, materials, sourcing, project implementation, and logistics functions are effective in enabling the value stream to achieve customer‑focused and financial goals and serves as the lean manufacturing resource responsible for eliminating waste and improving flow throughout the value stream.
what you’ll be doing
* work with teams and use lean tools to make continuous improvements and build a motivated work environment to support lean objectives.
* provide motivational leadership and communication to all team associates to ensure understanding and attainment of sqdci performance objectives.
* employ, drive, and promote understanding of lean tools and principles to ensure achievement of business objectives and a culture of continuous improvement.
* develop a world‑class operations organization by providing training, coaching, and mentoring as appropriate.
what you’ll bring
* bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing, or equivalent required.
* desirable: supply chain experience in a high‑volume progressive manufacturing facility with major emphasis on purchasing and planning.
* knowledge of material planning system requirements (mrp/erp).
* proficiency in inventory management.
* bilingual: intermediate level english oral and written communication.
