what you will do:
we are hiring a lead financial analyst in our business center. This individual works in the fra department amongst a team of other analysts, supporting the monthly reporting and analysis process, weekly forecasts, financial quarterly forecasts, annual budgeting, and outlook process. S/he will provide support including preparing inputs for financial presentations, analysis, and other projects requested. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision-making.
the financial reporting and analysis lead financial analyst reports into coe americas, global operations group, and works closely with the senior director finance gisc of global products in johnson controls.
how will you do it:
* develop, standardize, and automate business-focused financial and performance reports using reporting tools.
* provide weekly, monthly, quarterly reports and analysis of financial and performance kpis including p&l, balance sheet, and cash flow.
* analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including manufacturing conversion costs, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
* monitor performance indicators, highlight trends, analyze causes of unexpected variance, and provide insights and decision-making support to the business.
* implement and work with business intelligence tools and dashboard reports, providing real-time ad-hoc analysis.
* compile financial information for business reviews (monthly actuals, annual budget, quarterly forecasts, etc.).
* assist in preparing and loading forecasts on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
* assist with the completion of annual financial plans (including p&l, balance sheet, cash flow, twc, and capex), budgets, and forecasts as required.
* prepare month-end financial variance reports related to plant performance costs (actuals vs. forecast/budget).
* prepare operational financial reports related to productivity, copq, inventories adjustments, and warranties.
* prepare financial journal entries, accruals, and allocations for global operations departments.
* operate within established finance procedures and ensure internal controls are maintained.
* provide financial support on specific cost initiatives/projects for global operations.
* document risks and escalate to management.
* respond promptly to all information requests.
* achieve deadlines set by leadership and the business, proactively monitoring and raising instances where deadlines cannot be met in a timely fashion.
what we look for:
* bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
* +5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or equivalent in accounting/finance.
* strong customer and business orientation with a desire to develop business acumen.
* advanced skills in microsoft excel and powerpoint; knowledge of hyperion enterprise and one stream.
* high standards of accuracy and organization.
* creative thinking, highly-driven, and self-motivated.
* ability to work hands-on with team members in a management capacity.
* strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across the organization in a fast-paced environment.
* fluent in english.
