Role: senior php developer
location: morelia, michoacán, mexico (on-site)
we are seeking a highly experienced senior php/symfony developer who also possesses strong business analysis capabilities.
this role requires a dynamic individual who can efficiently manage backend development while working closely with clients to understand and translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
key responsibilities:
- collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and clarify business objectives.
- act as a liaison between business users and the technical team to ensure alignment.
- translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and development tasks.
- troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and functional issues raised by the client.
- perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and best practices.
- contribute to architectural decisions and product planning.
- support and contribute to pimcore-based projects and learn the platform deeply as needed.
required skills & qualifications:
- 15+ years of professional experience in software development.
- strong expertise in php and symfony framework.
- solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- proven experience as a business analyst or in a client-facing role.
- excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- experience working with databases like mysql
- familiarity with rest apis, git, and ci/cd pipelines.
- comfortable working in agile/scrum environments.
- fluent in english and spanish (written and spoken).
- must be located near morelia, michoacán, mexico.
additional skills:
- pimcore experience and knowledge would be plus
