leader company with operations in estado de méxico is seeking a pcc (precipitated calcium carbonate) process engineer.
role description
the process engineer analyzes and optimizes the production of pcc, focusing on efficiency, quality, sustainability, and cost minimization at the plant. Their functions include designing, implementing, and improving production processes, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, managing resources, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with other areas to innovate in calcium carbonate manufacturing.
* design and optimization:
develop and improve calcium carbonate manufacturing processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
- production management:
supervise and control plant operations, making decisions to maximize pcc yield and quality.
- continuous improvement:
implement continuous improvement strategies in processes to reduce operational costs and optimize raw material usage.
- standard compliance:
ensure all processes comply with quality, health, safety, and environmental (hse) standards.
- documentation:
maintain and update process documentation, including standard operating procedures (sops) and risk assessments.
- innovation:
research and propose the incorporation of new technologies or production methodologies to improve efficiency.
- quality control:
ensure the quality and consistency of the final product (precipitated calcium carbonate).
- resource management:
optimize the consumption of energy, water, and raw materials in the pcc production process.
- waste management:
ensure the correct disposal of industrial waste (gaseous, liquid, and solid) with the least possible environmental impact.
- new product development:
collaborate in the development of new products that use pcc, optimizing their manufacturing processes.
qualifications

* bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, or a related field
* experience in the specialty minerals industry is an advantage
