we are seeking a dynamic and strategic chief financial officer (cfo) to lead the financial function of our education business. This role is pivotal in driving investment strategy, business growth, and ensuring financial integrity across all operations. The ideal candidate is a commercially seasoned leader with a hands‐on approach and a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and business development .
* leading the financial strategy and planning for the company, which includes evaluating investment opportunities, m&a initiatives and strategic partnerships.
* overseeing all financial and accounting operations, including budgeting and forecasting.
* ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.
* analysing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
* collaborating with other c‐suite executives to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
* managing relationships with investors, auditors, and financial institutions.
* providing clear and concise financial reports to the board of directors.
* implementing and maintaining robust financial systems and controls.
* driving process improvements and automation across finance functions.
* driving initiatives to improve cost efficiency and profitability in the retail sector

the successful applicant
a successful chief financial officer should have:
* a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* professional certifications such as cpa or cfa are highly valued.
* extensive knowledge of financial management within the retail industry.
* strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* commercial mind‐set as this is expected from a cfo level‐candidate.
* proficiency in financial software and systems.
* proven leadership abilities and experience in managing teams.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
* strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
* proven experience in investment analysis, business development, and financial operations .
