Position summary:
this position is responsible for processing of indirect invoices and assistance of direct invoices for company vendors. Will be the owner of ap reporting and will manage e-mail distribution.
essential functions:
* process vendor invoices in high volume ap department. Processing includes edi, ers, vim, and manually keying invoices.
* work with vendor to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies and past due issues in a timely manner
* interact with the plants to resolve receiving issues.
* interact with purchasing to resolve pricing issues.
* prepare month-end invoice/capital accrual.
* participates in organization's process improvement projects.
* assist in month end accounts payable jobs/ preparing monthly account reconciliations.
* process all check, wire and debit requests.
* runs all ap-related reports and manages ap mailbox distribution.
* support and co-lead organization's process improvement projects.
knowledge:
* extensive working knowledge of accounting principles.
* intermediate working knowledge of accounts payable processes and erp systems.
experience:
* 2-4 years of ap accounting experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
* sap or other erp experience preferred.
skills:
* advanced skills in microsoft office (specifically excel).
* able to confidently and efficiently correspond to all levels of management.

education:
* associates degree in accounting or finance required.
* bachelor's degree preferred.
