The product sales sr supervisor provides leadership and supervisory responsibility for a medium-sized operational/administrative team of support employees. They possess a good understanding of procedures and concepts within their technical/subject area and have a basic knowledge of related areas to understand how they interrelate. They understand how their team and area integrate with others to accomplish the objectives of the subfunction or job family. They work to improve process efficiencies supporting unit objectives. A basic conceptual and practical understanding of applicable policies is required. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to exchange complex or sensitive information. They typically handle variable issues with potential broader business impact and influence decisions through advice, counsel, and facilitating services, or through joint accountability for volume, quality, and timeliness of results. They do not have direct responsibility for financial or resource planning. Their work affects their own team and other related teams. They have full supervisory responsibilities, including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and directing daily tasks and responsibilities.
responsibilities:
* support the sales team in selling products to existing clients through portfolio analysis, needs assessment, and customer risk profiling.
* disseminate industry, financial markets, and competition product information, and analyze it for meaningful sales engagement.
* develop training roadmaps for relationship managers and ensure successful completion of regulatory and knowledge, attitude, skills, and habits certifications.
* ensure customer engagement by organizing meetings and discussing product offerings to build awareness.
* conduct joint sales drills with relationship managers to facilitate appropriate product purchase decisions.
* enhance the knowledge level of branch managers.
* act as the compliance gatekeeper for regulatory adherence in the region/branch.
* monitor for potential sales complaints, cancellations, surrender ratios, lapse rates, and complaints.
* highlight potential financial, regulatory, and credit risks to the franchise.
* assess risks appropriately in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding the firm's reputation, and maintaining high ethical standards. Supervise others' activities and create accountability for maintaining standards.
qualifications:
* 2-5 years of financial sales experience preferred.
education:
* bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
* experience in sales.
