requirements
* bachelor’s degree in public accounting (required).
* 5 years of experience as a general accountant.
* experience in shared services environments (preferred).
* intermediate/advanced english.
* strong ability to supervise, develop, and motivate talent.
* solid knowledge of accounting and tax regulations: nif, isr, iva, diot, ifrs, with monthly and annual compliance.
* inventory management: valuation, turnover, physical counts, and variance analysis.
* internal control and compliance: control design and documentation, sox (preferred), segregation of duties, and risk mitigation.
* corporate reporting: preparation of financial packages, variance analysis, and adherence to global deadlines.
* advanced excel skills.
responsibilities
* lead the regional accounting team, ensuring accurate execution of the full accounting cycle.
* supervise, develop, and motivate the accounting team, setting priorities and delegating tasks effectively.
* review and validate journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
* execute and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes with accuracy and within corporate deadlines.
* ensure compliance with nif / ifrs, internal policies, and skf global guidelines.
* prepare and analyze financial reports, explain variances, and propose corrective actions.
* collaborate with internal and external audits, as well as with shared services teams.
