Materials planning manager
the materials planning manager plays a crucial role in optimizing the flow of materials within the supply chain to ensure timely and efficient production.
to achieve this goal, the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate material requirements plans based on production schedules, sales forecasts, and historical usage. This includes analyzing demand trends, safety stock levels, and reorder points to improve planning accuracy.
in addition, the successful candidate will be required to monitor inventory levels, adjust purchasing plans accordingly to maintain optimal stock levels, and work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.

qualifications:
* education: bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, engineering, or a related field.
* experience: 5 years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, or inventory management (industry-specific experience preferred).
responsibilities may include creating and managing purchase orders, maintaining accurate records in the erp/mrp system, communicating material shortages or delays to relevant stakeholders, and recommending corrective actions.
supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes and supply chain efficiency is also an essential part of this role.
requirements
this position requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in microsoft excel and other data analysis tools is also necessary.
