vice president & general manager – mexico operations
kensington international is partnering with a global, engineering-driven manufacturer to identify a vice president & general manager to lead its mexico operations. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a rapidly scaling manufacturing facility in monterrey.
the opportunity
our client has recently established a strategic manufacturing operation in mexico to support accelerating customer demand and global growth. The business is entering a period of significant expansion, with plans to rapidly scale revenue and headcount. This leader will have full responsibility for site performance and will play a critical role in building a world‑class operation, driving operational excellence while scaling people, processes, and culture.
key responsibilities
- lead all plant operations including production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance
- own performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
- scale the organization to support rapid growth while maintaining high standards
- drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and execution discipline
- lead complex manufacturing processes including pcba / smt
- ensure compliance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements (including immex)
- partner closely with u.s.-based leadership on strategy and financial performance
- build, develop, and retain a high-performing, engaged team
ideal candidate profile
- proven senior leadership experience in electronics
- expertise in pcba / smt operations strongly preferred
- experience operating in u.s.–mexico manufacturing environments
- track record of successfully scaling operations (capacity, team, systems)
- strong operational and financial acumen
- hands‑on leader with a bias for action and accountability
- fluent in english and spanish
