about this role
the field project manager will oversee daily project implementation at the field level, reporting to the sr. Advisor. This role ensures timely, quality delivery of activities and effective coordination with partners, staff, and stakeholders.
required experience and education
qualifications and experience
* minimum five years managing large, complex projects, preferably related to human mobility.
* experience in grants management, especially with foreign aid agencies or multilateral institutions.
* ability to build and maintain relationships across organizational levels.
* knowledge of budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
* excellent communication skills in english and spanish.
* understanding of regional migration issues, child protection, and violence prevention.
education and certifications
* bachelor’s degree in social science or related field; master’s preferred.
* experience in proposal development and migration/child protection in humanitarian contexts in mexico.
* experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
* proficient in spanish and english.
primary responsibilities
* field implementation and coordination: manage daily project activities, coordinate with partners and teams, and ensure alignment with work plans and donor requirements.
* program quality and compliance: ensure adherence to protection standards, implement accountability tools, and safeguard policies.
* monitoring and reporting: conduct field monitoring, data collection, and contribute to timely reporting.
* capacity building: train field teams and partners, fostering continuous learning and service quality.
* partnership management: manage relationships with local partners and stakeholders, participating in stakeholder analysis.
* budget management: support budget planning, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial compliance.
* representation and advocacy: represent childfund in local coordination meetings and act as a liaison for field inquiries.
* risk management: identify risks, develop solutions, and ensure inclusive access to services for marginalized populations.
